The people we surround ourselves with tell one part of a story of who we are. They can also tell us how much self-worth we have for ourselves.
Who are you shacking up with, spending time with, being intimate with, and the like? Are they treating you with love and respect consistently, or are they hurting you consistently?
Are the people in your life adding despair to your life or joy? Relationships will inevitably have moments of sadness, but for the most part, your relationships should be adding value and happiness to your life. And you should be adding value to the relationship you give to others.
Are you addicted to painful, unfruitful, and burdensome relationships? Do you often try to force unhealthy relationships to work? Are you settling in your relationships because you don’t feel you can or deserve better?
We are the average of the people we surround ourselves with; what does this say about you?
Relationships are powerful and influential. They can weigh us down or lift us.
Be careful of the relationships you repeatedly find yourself in if they aren’t adding consistent joy, peace, fun, and value to your life.
Relationships are meant to be blessings.
