Okay, the holidays are coming up, which is prime time tv season, but some people live in prime time tv season every day of their lives. They can’t get enough.
Earl Nightingale explains it best: Most people come home after work, turn on the box, and then realize it’s late, “time to go to bed,” they think to themselves. So they sluggishly get up, turn off the TV, and hop in bed.
Only to wake up the next day and do it all over again: go to work, come home, spend the whole evening watching tv, and go to bed.
This cycle has happened to some people for 40 years. Eeeeeeeeeeeeek.
How much TV do you watch?
TV is addicting. Hence, I avoid starting new tv shows unless I know I want to throw away some significant hours for the next few days or weeks.
The average person spends a minimum of 3 hours every day watching tv. But this is the minimum time. More people spend an easy 8+ hours of tv each day.
The question is:
How is watching tv serving my goals, life, and health?
Are you making more progress completing shows, or are you making more progress completing goals?
The choice is up to you. Learn when enough tv is enough, so you don’t compromise making progress on your goals.
