Be Careful Of The Financial Teachers You Learn From
They're often not implementing what they teach
Most people you learn from don’t implement what they’re teaching.
There is stuff I’ve written about where I looked back, and I had to ask myself, am I implementing this? 99% of the time, the answer is yes.
But most people who teach about money struggle with money themselves.
Wealthy famous authors are great teachers, but they often don’t write their books; they have ghostwriters who write their books for them.
So not only do these books not reveal their greatest financial secrets, the person whose name is on the book has never even read the book, which means they often don’t know what content is in them.
For all the people who write about money, the best way to know if they’re worth listening to is by observing how they live and what they teach. Do they teach theory (ideas and fake stories) or facts that can be implemented (real-life stories of what has worked for them and others)?
