Career & Relationships
Taking some time off from work is something everyone should get to experience throughout their working careers.
Taking some time off from work is something everyone should get to experience throughout their working careers.
It’s nice to gain fresh perspective on all things, including: work, family, relationships, hobbies, food, time, the future, the present, the past, travel, politics, people less off than you, etc.
Sometimes it is so easy to get caught up into career and work that you forget about everything else and everyone else.
You may not even mean to, but when you do have a moment alone, you either want to spend it on yourself, watching TV, or relaxing because you are already so used up from devoting time to work.
After I experienced taking some time off from work, I’ve learned how important my relationships are with my family, and I never want to compromise that again — even just a little bit.
It feels amazing to be close to them again with consistent communication and visits.
You shouldn’t have to sacrifice one for the other. It’s all about learning how to keep everything on a cycle and rhythm that feels comfortable for you to where you aren’t isolated from the most important people in your life.
Nothing in this finite world is promised. Make the most of each year, each day, each moment, each second, each minute, and each hour.
You won’t regret it.
Find your rhythm.
