One thing most people have in common is they maintain a routine.
The routine of most people includes two primary activities:
Work
Consuming Media (i.e., television and/or social media usage)
Every job has a purpose, but most people don’t find fulfillment in their jobs; the primary things they’re seeking from their job are a paycheck and benefits.
Once they're done with work for the day, they spend the rest of their day mindlessly completing rote tasks and responsibilities. Or they spend it on their phone, tablet, computer, or in front of the television.
Unfortunately, the media that most of us consume doesn’t better us in any way; it primarily perpetuates fear and insecurity. More importantly, it causes us to waste tremendous amounts of time.
Imagine the person you could be and the knowledge you could possess if you spent this same amount of time improving yourself and working on your goals….
You’d be much farther in your life than where you currently stand.
Your time on this earth isn’t meant to be 100% allocated to work, but every day, you should dedicate time to bettering yourself in some capacity — even if it’s only 5–15 minutes daily.
It adds up over time.
