A hard truth to face is that you don’t want your dreams and goals.
Several times, I’ve had to ponder the following words: “How badly do you want it? Cause your actions are saying one thing, and your mind dreams of another.”
Unless you are working on your dreams and goals day in and day out, you don’t want it.
It’s Nice To Dream. It’s Amply Enjoyable.
Fantasizing about:
A better life…
A better body…
More wealth…
More freedom…
Better relationships…
More love…
More success…
More opportunities to be generous…
And to experience your best potential life is fun…
Which is why MOST people dream.
It feels fucking delicious to dream.
It also feels fucking great to watch other people live their dreams, which is why so many spend countless time watching television, sports, and scrolling social media.
We love watching other people live the lives we desire. We love observing others who are “on top”.
The Path of Mediocrity Is Dangerously Addicting
It’s easy to continue your days, weeks, months, years, and decades on the same path you’ve always been on.
It’s easy to continue making the dumbest excuses about why you can’t work on a goal.
I laugh whenever I hear someone (and myself) make an excuse about why their struggle continues and shit can’t be done. Because I know excuses are bullshit.
The outliers, the doers, the ones that make progress through pain and impossible circumstances continually prove dreamers wrong every damn day.
It CAN be done.
It can always be done, as long as you believe it can be done and put in the fucking work.
All that starting and stopping shit…yeah, that shit never amounts to anything.
All those New Year’s resolutions never work if you don’t have a system to execute your habits.
All those dreams sitting in your head will never amount to anything if you don’t write it down in a goal format and create an action plan.
All your beautiful intentions are meaningless until you take consistent action.
Intentions, Goals, Dreams, Visions, and Promises are MEANINGLESS WITHOUT CONSISTENT ACTION.
Consistent-Ambitious-Unwavering-Discipline will always be the most valuable trait any human can have.
Those with this trait will always be unstoppable and achieve many (if not all) goals.
Discipline is Destiny.
The next time you make an excuse for not putting in the time for your goals and dreams, LAUGH at yourself and remind yourself that you don’t actually want it.
Cause you don’t.
You want mediocrity.
You crave failure.
You crave more of the same.
And that’s precisely what you’ll get if you continue making excuses.

Remember: Pain (discomfort) Is Good. It’s Damn Good.
Settling for mediocrity is easy because you see a supermodel on Instagram and tell yourself you could bee like that too but ... Then you get a short-lived dopamine hit from imagining where you could be. That's it. You say "day in and day out" and this resonates - the price to pay for success is doing hard stuff.
'We love watching other people live the lives we desire. We love observing others who are “on top”.'
Yeah, indeed. Doing so somehow makes us feel associated with that type of lifestyle and it indulges our desires.
However, we should take care not to get too caught up with such things as it prevent us from focusing on and improving our own reality.
