Sometimes — when you’ve been going through adversity for a long time — it is easy to forget to observe where you are in life now versus a year ago, months ago, or even weeks ago. It can be easy to get so caught up with just surviving, that you can forget to be grateful for all you really aren’t struggling with anymore. Sometimes adversity can seem to last forever, but adversity does not last forever; usually adversity is temporary in nature — as it should be.
Times of adversity are meant to allow us to grow, strengthen our mentalities, and build resilience. Times of adversity are not always filled with happy moments, but through all of it, we can remember to take the time to enjoy the little things, to be grateful for all the little things that come to us, and to give to others.
When we go through adversity it almost seems impossible to think of anyone but ourselves, but in these times of adversity is when we really need to give the most.
Giving is like planting seeds of hope, which always produce a bountiful harvest, an end to the storm, and a rainbow to remind you how beautiful your journey has ended.
Be grateful. Give. Remember to cherish the big and small wins. Enjoy every little and big thing you can. Don’t take anything or anyone for granted. Remember, that you have made it through the storm, and you are stronger because of it.
