One of my best friends told me, “I think you weren’t alive, but you’re alive now. You seem more vibrant, present, and happier. This makes me happy.”
Observing who you are is difficult when cycling through patterns and environments that blind you from accurately seeing reality.
Patterns, habits, and environments are addicting. If you’re not careful, they mold you into someone you won’t recognize.
I’ve been here many times, and the only way I can prevent myself from doing that is to stay true to who I am.
We strip a piece of ourselves every time we sacrifice or compromise who we are and what we desire. If you do this enough times, you will no longer recognize yourself.
Too many of us live our lives as zombies. We’re not in control because we’re living life by default. Our decisions aren’t our own because we’re stuck in a bad computer program.
Get out of your usual environment and away from the people you’re usually around to gain a fresh perspective on your life, where you’re headed, and who you desire to be.
Switch it up. Constantly.
This is surreal.
Thanks so much for this truth.
