The 4 Questions To Ask Before A Purchase
Notice how much wealth you build once you habitually ask these questions
Before you make your next purchase ask yourself the following four questions:
Do I love it?
Do I need it?
Do I like it?
Do I want it?
Tiffany Aliche mentioned these four questions in the Get Smart With Money Documentary On Netflix.
Focus on loves and needs (long-term satisfaction) and less on likes and wants (short-term satisfaction).
Not only do these questions come in handy for the holidays, but if you’re like many people, you might be a spontaneous shopper (*cough cough* AMAZON or adding that random “must-have” to your basket at Target). Emotional shopping is an epidemic.
SLOW DOWN BEFORE YOUR NEXT PURCHASE.
I like to apply the 3-7 day waiting rule.
Before making unplanned small and large purchases, I wait at least 3-7 days before making the purchase, which often turns into years, and I never make the purchase because I didn’t desire it that bad in the first place.
If you want to save more money, the best place to look is your spending habits.
Stop throwing away cash each month on superfluous purchases.
The more you keep, the more wealth you build.
