We will continue to make the same mistakes until we finally learn the lesson. For some people, that day — mastering the lesson — never comes.
What are the painful lessons you need to learn soon before it’s too late? Life always has a way of showing us the lessons we need to learn before our time runs out.
The longer you wait to learn the lesson, the more painful each lesson and the consequences become. Sometimes people let the lessons continue for too long, and their time runs out, or the consequences of failing the final lesson become too insurmountable to overcome.
It’s easy to become complacent and arrogant. It’s easy to procrastinate learning the lessons we need to. It’s easy to think we are full-proof to tragedy and painful outcomes. It’s easy to put on hold our self-improvement. It’s easy to postpone the changes we need to make. It’s easy to continue the unhealthy habits we execute day in and day out. It’s easy not to put a ripple in the destructive patterns we involve ourselves with day in and day out.
Complacency is dangerous.
We will make the same mistakes: until it’s too late, just in time before we have to deal with a detrimental consequence, or way ahead of reaching the danger zone.
Ask yourself the following questions today and make a change. This article is your warning:
What habits need to be eradicated from my life today?
What people need to exit my life today?
What things do I need to let go of today?
What changes do I need to make today before it’s too late?
What addictions do I need to get help with today and every day going forward?
I choose not to wait and give in to procrastination and complacency.
I don’t know who is reading this today, but some of you are on a destructive path; it might not seem like it, but if you keep making the same decisions, you will run straight into a wall and fall flat on your face, and when you get back up, you will find painful consequences awaiting you. Deal with your demons now. Start today.
Life gives us so many chances until our chances run out.
