Discipline is one of the hardest things to implement consistently; it’s so challenging that we usually call it quits day one.
What is the one thing you’re actively doing to improve your life?
Are you consistently performing this action?
Beneficial Dissemination
If you have discipline in one area, it can easily carry over into other areas; I like to call this beneficial dissemination.
Discipline is infectious after you incorporate it faithfully. You get addicted to the positive results, making it harder not to adopt a disciplined lifestyle.
Hence, when you develop a new beneficial habit, don’t quit. The longer you take to build a productive habit, the harder it becomes to break it.
It’s more challenging to build productive habits than to build unproductive habits.
Either way, you’re always building productive or unproductive. One helps you progress in life. One doesn’t.
What’s The 1 Thing You’re Doing Now To Improve Your Life?
Most people settle willingly for complacency, but that doesn’t mean you have to.
Example
It’s easy to get lost in tv shows, movies, and social media.
But it’s also easy to get lost in an informative and developing book, article, podcast, or documentary. You only need two switch gears and ignite the passion for personal development and education.
Your changes don’t have to be big; they can be small.
James Clear puts it perfectly, “Tiny changes equal remarkable results.” All you have to do now is get started and don’t stop.
At the end of this year, we will have time to reflect on who we were when the year commenced and who we became at the end.
Who are you now?
Who will you become?
What will you do to become the person you know you can be?
Get the Heck Out Of “Potentialville”
Potential is pointless if you don’t do anything with it.
“Stop living in potentialville” — Ayodeji Awosika
We already know we have all the potential in the world; if you didn’t know, I just told you.
Now go do something with all the potential inside you instead of thinking about how much you have.
Intelligent action is more potent than intelligent thought. Make something out of this week, this month, and this year. It’s all in your hands.
Incorporating discipline has a high-cost upfront, but the rewards are exponential on the backend.
Are you willing to delay instant gratification?
Most people aren’t, which is why most people live in potentialville all of their lives.
