I saw a woman several months ago at a store I often visited. The last time I saw her, she was looking for another job; she knew it was time to pivot and make a career change. She was excited about a new adventure, new opportunities, and change.

Today, I visited that same-store I used to frequent so often, and I was surprised to see her. In fact, I was disappointed. I knew how much she had desired to leave the store, yet, she was still working there almost a whole year later.

It all made me wonder why we take so long to make pivots in our own lives? Why do we not implement the changes we need to make day after day? What are we waiting for? What is so vital that is keeping us around? Usually, though, we hate to admit that it’s fear and complacency keeping us stuck. Both feelings are dangerous as they can paralyze you and keep you in the same position throughout your lifetime.

What changes have you been lingering on that you need to make?

It’s time.
