Grammar rules can really drown a writer out. Sometimes, it’s simply easier to not follow them.
As a writer, my goal is to create meaningful content for my readers, and to do that, I need to create frequently. But the more frequent you publish, the more your chances increase for making a mistake.
In the beginning stages as a writer, I was passionate about having as few errors as possible in my books — even though these exact books ended having the most errors. I still prefer to have few mistakes in my writing, but whenever I find one or someone notices one, it’s not a big deal to me. In fact, as long as my point was conveyed successfully, then I have completed my goal.
Every day new words are being formed, and people are learning and stretching the boundaries of the languages they speak.
If people create new words, then why can’t people create their own rules for grammar.
Writing provides a beautiful platform to share your thoughts and ideas, and sometimes not using the rules of language, syntax, and grammar helps to more effectively and creatively convey your ideas through writing.
Plus, stressing over every detail of your writing will prevent your work from being shared with the world because it will always be in “draft mode” instead of published.
